The QNAP TL-R1220Sep-RP is an enterprise-grade 12-Bay SAS JBOD storage expansion enclosure with a 2U short-depth rackmount design. It is designed to expand storage capacity for compatible QNAP QTS/QuTS hero NAS systems and Windows servers using high-speed 12Gb/s SAS connectivity.

The enclosure features 12 hot-swappable drive bays, four 12Gb/s SAS 3.0 Mini-SAS HD SFF-8644 Wide Ports, multipath routing, link aggregation and daisy-chaining capabilities. It also supports Broadcom SAS DataBolt™ bandwidth optimization technology and includes dual 300W redundant power supplies for improved business continuity. QNAP states that up to 16 expansion enclosures can be daisy-chained with compatible NAS configurations for up to 3.4PB raw capacity.
