Product Description

Protect confidential information on your laptop with the StarTech 162MG-PRIVACY-SCREEN Gold Privacy Screen for compatible 16-inch MacBook Pro M1, M2, M3, and M4 models. Designed for a precise fit, this privacy filter uses Micro-louver technology to restrict side viewing and help prevent visual eavesdropping in offices, public spaces, and shared work environments.

Featuring a 60° total viewing angle, 60% light transmittance, and 40–51% blue-light reduction in the 380–480 nm range, this privacy filter balances visual privacy with everyday screen readability. Its distinctive reversible gold and matte design offers a glossy gold side for enhanced privacy and an anti-glare matte side for reducing reflections.

The filter attaches using transparent, residue-free adhesive strips and is designed not to interfere with the webcam, display sensors, or laptop lid closure when correctly installed.

About StarTech 162MG-PRIVACY-SCREEN

The StarTech 162MG-PRIVACY-SCREEN is a gold privacy filter specifically designed for compatible 16-inch MacBook Pro M1, M2, M3, and M4 laptops. Its reflective gold surface quickly transitions to a mirror-like effect when viewed outside the intended viewing angle, helping protect sensitive information from people nearby.

The reversible filter offers two finishes. The glossy gold side provides enhanced visual privacy while maintaining colour vibrancy, while the matte anti-glare side helps reduce reflections in bright working environments. The matte side also features a scratch- and fingerprint-resistant coating.

With 60% light transmittance and up to 51% blue-light reduction, the filter combines screen privacy with practical everyday use. Its precision-fit construction is designed to accommodate the laptop's top-mounted webcam and surrounding display sensors without preventing the lid from closing.

This model is also TAA compliant, making it suitable for applicable procurement requirements.
