About StarTech 167B-USBC-MULTIPORT

The StarTech 167B-USBC-MULTIPORT is a hybrid USB-C and USB-A multiport adapter designed to help create a more productive workstation without requiring multiple separate adapters. It combines dual HDMI video outputs, a three-port USB-A hub, and a flexible host connection in one compact device.

The first HDMI output supports up to 4K at 30Hz, while the second supports up to 1080p at 60Hz. These outputs allow compatible computers to use two external monitors for separate applications, documents, and workflows. Actual display support depends on the operating system, host hardware, drivers, and display configuration.

The integrated USB-A hub provides data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps and supports compatible legacy USB peripherals. The included tethered USB-C-to-USB-A adapter offers added flexibility when connecting to supported USB-A host computers.

The adapter is bus-powered, so it draws power from the connected host and does not provide USB Power Delivery pass-through charging. Its aluminium housing, extended host cable, and compact design make it suitable for mobile professionals and business workstations.
